At the meeting held on December 9, 2025, the Cabinet of Ministers adopted a new resolution No. 790, which amends the regulations regarding the start dates of the academic year for higher education institutions, as well as for postgraduate and secondary vocational education institutions.
According to this document, the dates for the start of the academic year in these educational institutions will now be determined by the authorized state body. This measure is aimed at more flexible planning of the educational process and optimizing its timing.
The educational plans will strictly adhere to the state educational standards concerning the duration of studies, the dates for the end of the academic year, weekly workload, the duration of examination sessions and vacations, as well as types of internships.
This resolution will come into effect ten days after its official publication.
