The new decree adopted by the Cabinet of Ministers is aimed at supporting food security and stabilizing prices. The document contains an expanded list of goods exempt from VAT at a zero rate, as well as an extension of the duration of this benefit.

In accordance with the decree, two updated lists have been approved:
– the first includes food products subject to the zero VAT rate upon import and sale;
– the second contains raw materials used for the production of vegetable oils and feed for poultry and fish, also falling under the zero rate.

The Cabinet also made changes to the decrees adopted in 2022 and 2023. The duration of the VAT exemptions is now extended until December 31, 2027, instead of the previously established December 31, 2025.

In addition, the decree cancels the 2022 document that regulated support for domestic agricultural producers and farms.

This decision will take effect on January 1, 2026.
