The new document has removed from the ministry's powers functions related to the accounting and documentation of the population. In particular, some subclauses that previously defined responsibilities in the area of citizen registration have been rendered void.
The government explained that these changes are part of the optimization of public administration and were adopted in accordance with a presidential decree issued on October 27, 2025, under number 299. This decree aims to redistribute functions among various government agencies.
The resolution will come into effect in a week.
