The Ministry of Labor of Kyrgyzstan has announced the non-working public holidays for 2026, according to the Labor Code.
Citizens of the country will be able to enjoy holidays on the following days:
- from January 1 to January 6 - New Year holidays;
- January 7 - Christmas Day;
- March 8 - International Women's Day;
- March 21 - Nowruz holiday;
- May 1 - Labor Day;
- from May 1 to May 8 - May holidays;
- May 5 - Constitution Day;
- May 9 - Victory Day;
- August 31 - Independence Day.
In addition, the Muslim holidays of Orozo Ait and Kurman Ait will also be recognized as non-working, with their dates depending on the lunar calendar.
Among the shortened working days:
- pre-holiday - March 20, April 30, and December 31;
- shortened holiday - February 23 and April 7.
