According to Nazarzoda's statements, in 2025, the number of people wanted exceeded 6700. He emphasized that, thanks to effective cooperation with law enforcement agencies of other countries, 835 of them were returned to their homeland. The head of the Department for Combating Organized Crime noted that among those detained were many citizens caught in Russia and Kazakhstan, as well as from European countries, but exact data on the number extradited from each country was not provided.
In September 2025, during a meeting in Dushanbe with Tajik Interior Minister Ramazon Rahimzoda, Vladimir Kolokoltsev, the Minister of Internal Affairs of Russia, reported that in the course of the past eight months, Russian law enforcement agencies had detained about 400 citizens of Tajikistan who were wanted.
Kolokoltsev noted that this figure is almost double the number of those detained in 2024, when approximately 260 individuals wanted by Tajikistan were arrested.
