The ceremony took place in the square near the "April 25" Culture House and was marked by the presence of Kim Jong Un, General Secretary of the Workers' Party of Korea and Chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the DPRK. Among the guests were participants of the party congress, as well as representatives of the defense industry, scientists, and workers. According to the agency, 50 units of MLRS were produced in two months and have now been handed over to the army. One of the enterprise leaders presented Kim Jong Un with documents confirming the transfer of the new weapons.
In his speech, the leader of the DPRK emphasized the importance of the work of defense industry employees and stressed that modernizing military capabilities is crucial for ensuring the country's security. He also pointed out that the development of the army is fundamental for the protection of the state.
During the ceremony, Kim Jong Un awarded the Order of Kim Il Sung to one of the leading enterprises that distinguished itself in the modernization of the defense industry and handed over documents regarding the transfer of weapons to the Chief of the General Staff of the Korean People's Army. He then inspected the new multiple launch rocket systems.
According to the Central Telegraph Agency of Korea (CTAK), after the event, delegates of the congress and invited guests had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the new samples of weapons.
