In Mexico, the leader of one of the largest drug cartels has been eliminated. Unrest has begun.

According to information from local authorities and the media, the operation to detain Oseguera took place in the morning with the participation of federal forces. During the clash, the military came under attack and, in response to the aggression, used force. As a result, Oseguera was injured and died on the way to a medical facility.

President Claudia Sheinbaum confirmed that federal authorities are actively cooperating with regional governments and are in control of the situation. She noted that "in most regions of the country, the situation remains stable," and information about operational activities is regularly published through official law enforcement channels.
