In Minneapolis, federal agents shot an illegal immigrant armed during protests against Trump's policies

An unconfirmed video has appeared on the internet, which apparently captures a person who sustained a gunshot wound during street riots. Gunshots can be heard in the recording, and a person in a vest marked "Police" was nearby the scene of the incident. The Department of Homeland Security released an official statement explaining the details of the incident. At 9:05 AM Central Time, during an operation to apprehend an illegal immigrant wanted for a violent crime, a man approached the border patrol agents with a 9mm semi-automatic pistol. Attempts by the officers to disarm him were met with strong resistance from the suspect.
In light of the threat to their lives and the safety of their colleagues, one of the agents opened fire in self-defense. Medical assistance was provided to the injured person at the scene; however, he succumbed to his injuries. The suspect was also found to have two magazines, and no identification was present.
According to the Department of Homeland Security, approximately 200 people arrived at the scene and began to obstruct police work, as well as attack law enforcement officers. Measures were taken to ensure public safety and protect the officers through crowd control.
The previous day in Minneapolis, despite the 20-degree frost, thousands of people took to the streets to protest against the immigration repression of President Trump's administration, triggered by the detention of a 5-year-old boy and his father by immigration agents.
