- The International Monetary Fund approved a loan of $8.1 billion to Ukraine for a period of four years. The first tranche of $1.5 billion will be disbursed immediately.
- A meeting of representatives from Ukraine and the United States took place in Geneva, during which issues of reconstruction and preparations for an upcoming trilateral meeting involving Russia in early March were discussed.
- Russia's special envoy Kirill Dmitriev held talks in Geneva with Trump representatives Steve Witkoff and Jared Kushner.

- Leaders of European Union states are seeking ways to negotiate with Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban to end his blockade of new financial aid for Ukraine and the adoption of a new sanctions package against Russia. This was reported by Politico, citing sources.
- The State Duma of the Russian Federation passed a law allowing the refusal of extradition of foreign citizens who have served or are serving in the Russian armed forces and fought against Ukraine, in a second and third reading on February 26.
