Shirazi noted that "the main culprits of this tragedy are the US government and the Zionist regime." He emphasized that revenge for these crimes is a religious duty for all Muslims.

There are also reports of the deaths of high-ranking military officials, such as Secretary of the Defense Council Ali Shamkhani, Commander of the Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps Mohammad Pakpour, Chief of Staff Abdulrahim Mousavi, and Defense Minister Aziz Nasirzadeh.
In response to these events, a temporary leadership has been established in Iran, which will perform the functions of the Supreme Leader until a new one is elected.
