According to information provided by The Washington Post and DW, since the beginning of the conflict that started on February 28, Russia has provided Iran with information about the locations of several American facilities, including military ships and aircraft. This data was obtained from three independent sources.

The publication emphasizes that such actions may indicate Russia's indirect involvement in the conflict between the U.S. and Israel on one side and Iran on the other.

One of the informants noted: "This looks like quite a large-scale operation."

However, the extent of Russia's involvement in missile navigation remains unclear. Sources report that Iran has become less capable of independently detecting targets since the onset of hostilities.

Previously, Russian authorities called for an end to hostilities, characterizing them as an "unprovoked act of aggression."

This week, U.S. Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth stated that Russia and China do not play a significant role in the situation with Iran and that he has no message for these countries.

Dara Massicot, a senior fellow at the Carnegie Endowment for International Peace's Russia and Eurasia Program, noted that Iran is targeting early warning systems and command centers.

"Iran is deliberately attacking key command centers," she added.

According to sources, Iran has also attacked facilities in Kuwait, resulting in the deaths of six American servicemen, as well as striking CIA facilities at the U.S. embassy in Riyadh.

Massicot emphasized that Iran has only a few military satellites and lacks a full-fledged satellite system. In this context, the intelligence data provided by the Russian Aerospace Forces is of particular value to Tehran.
