Early in the morning on March 18, Israel carried out an airstrike on a residential building in the Bashura area of Beirut. Lebanese authorities report at least six fatalities.

According to Euronews, the strike occurred shortly after dawn. As a result of the attack, thick clouds of smoke rose over the city, and rescue services arrived at the scene. Israeli military officials claim that about an hour before the strike, they warned residents to evacuate the building.

The building was completely destroyed in the strike, and vehicles on a nearby road were also damaged.

It is worth noting that this building had already been targeted three times on March 12, but it was not destroyed at that time. Thus, this is the fourth attack in less than a week.

Israel claims that the building was allegedly used by "Hezbollah" to store significant amounts of money, although no evidence has been presented so far.

This strike occurred against the backdrop of intensified Israeli military operations in southern Lebanon in response to shelling from border areas. At the same time, attacks on central areas of Beirut, which were previously rare, have become more frequent, raising concerns about risks to the civilian population and the potential escalation of the conflict.
