- The British newspaper Financial Times reported that U.S. President Donald Trump is threatening to halt arms supplies to Ukraine if Europe does not assist in unblocking the Strait of Hormuz. Sources claim he is considering suspending the Priority Ukrainian Acquisition Program (PURL), which allows European countries to purchase American weapons for Kyiv.
- The European Union will again send Ukraine funds from the frozen assets of the Central Bank of Russia, totaling 1.4 billion euros. This is money accumulated in the second half of 2025.
- The European Commission has approved a package of initiatives under which 45 billion euros will be proposed for Ukraine in 2026. This is half of the total loan of 90 billion euros that Budapest had previously blocked.

- Ten people were injured in Nikopol as a result of a strike, as reported by Alexander Ganjha, head of the Dnipropetrovsk regional administration.
- In the Zolotonosha district of the Cherkasy region, four people were killed in a Russian attack.
- According to the district prosecutor's office, on April 1, Russian troops attacked a car in Kherson using a drone, resulting in the deaths of two women and injuries to the driver.
- According to Bloomberg, the U.S. has granted Kazakhstan permission to transport Russian oil to China, which will be valid until March 19, 2027.
