On January 6, Aimeirim's sister contacted the police asking for help in finding the missing girl. According to her, on that day around 5:50 PM, Akisheva left for a meeting with her boyfriend Bakyt Asakeev and soon disappeared. After alerts began to spread on social media, the couple got in touch and stated that they would contact Aimeirim's relatives if the reports to law enforcement were withdrawn.
Meanwhile, the Lenin District Internal Affairs Department organized active search efforts and managed to locate the couple in the Naryn region. Bakyt Asakeev publicly apologized for the incident.
The press service noted that upon receiving reports of missing persons, law enforcement agencies quickly mobilize significant resources for search operations.
“In such situations, when citizens leave their homes without notifying their relatives of their whereabouts, they mislead their loved ones and create grounds for a search to be announced. This requires the intervention of police officers, the use of official vehicles, and other resources that could be directed towards addressing more priority tasks related to ensuring safety and maintaining public order,” emphasized the Internal Affairs Department.
