At 21:40 on December 23, a signal about gunfire was received at the duty station regarding an apartment in a high-rise building on Bokonbaeva Street, where a woman was killed.
Arriving at the scene, the investigative team from the Sverdlovsk District Police Department established that a quarrel had occurred between the former spouses — U.J. (born in 1978) and U.B. (born in 1977) — related to the divorce process. During the conflict, the man used a traumatic pistol and shot his ex-wife, resulting in her death from the injuries sustained.
The fact of the crime was registered under Article 122 ("Murder") of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. The 48-year-old U.B. was detained and placed in a temporary detention facility, during which he was in a state of alcohol intoxication. It is worth noting that the detainee previously worked as an inspector for the Bishkek Traffic Police.
According to earlier information, the sister of the deceased contacted the police requesting assistance in finding her. She reported that her ex-son-in-law had forcibly dismissed her sister from work and taken her in an unknown direction.
