According to information provided by the press service of the Bishkek City Police Department, the divorce took place just a few hours before the incident. After the marriage was dissolved, a conflict arose between the spouses in their apartment on Bokonbaeva Street. During the quarrel, the 48-year-old ex-husband used a traumatic pistol of the "MP-79" model and shot his ex-wife, resulting in her death from the injuries sustained.
In connection with the incident, the police initiated a criminal case under Article 122 ("Murder") of the Criminal Code of the Kyrgyz Republic. The suspect was detained and placed in a temporary detention facility.
According to the editorial office of "AKIpress Summary," one of the preliminary reasons for the divorce was domestic violence. After the divorce proceedings, the woman went to work. Later, the police received a signal from her sister, who reported that the ex-husband had forcibly taken her from the office in an unknown direction and was possibly armed.
In response to this information, a "Intercept" plan was announced; however, the woman could not be saved. As a result, two children were left without a mother.

U.B.M., born on August 2, 1977, in the Issyk-Kul region, previously worked as a senior lieutenant of the police and an inspector of the Traffic Police Department of Bishkek, which has since been disbanded. It is known that he left the service before the establishment of the Special Police Unit.
The suspect actively maintains social media pages where he shares his hobbies, such as powerlifting and bodybuilding. According to the Ministry of Justice, he is the head and founder of the public organization "Federation of the Paralympic Movement" "World of Unlimited Opportunities."
He also participated in the elections for the Bishkek City Council in 2021, representing one of the political parties.
