Melis Turganbaev gifted Kadir Malikov a traumatic pistol.

In the conversation between the minister of the law enforcement agency and the theologian, the main topics were the religious situation in Kyrgyzstan and the adoption of measures to combat terrorism and religious extremism. According to Turganbaev, the primary method of combating extremism is its prevention. He informed Malikov that the Ministry of Internal Affairs continuously holds meetings with the population, especially in the south of the country, where the concentration of religious people is the highest.
– It is known that one of the pressing problems of our time is terrorism. To combat it, punitive measures alone are ineffective; prevention is necessary. In this matter, the role of the independent analytical center "Religion, Law and Politics," the Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Kyrgyzstan (DUMK), local authorities, schools, and society is very significant. Primarily, we all together must focus on preventive measures. The future is in our hands. Together, we will not allow extremism and crime to develop, – noted the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic.
At the end of the meeting, Turganbaev presented Malikov with a gas traumatic pistol for self-defense. The minister also shared details about the extradition from Turkey to Bishkek of one of the suspects in the attack on Kadyro Malikov. Recall that on November 27, 2015, in Bishkek, the well-known theologian, who advocates for moderate Islam and criticizes ISIS, was attacked.
