Recently, in Bishkek, at the sports ground of the R. Sanatbaev Sports School, the "Manas" tournament took place, gathering young wrestlers under the age of 20. The competition featured boys born between 2006 and 2008, who competed in ten weight categories ranging from 55 to 130 kg.
The opening ceremony of the tournament was attended by high-profile guests, including the director of the State Agency for Youth Affairs, Physical Culture and Sports, Kazybek Moldazhiyev, and the deputy mayor of Bishkek, Viktoriya Mozgacheva, as well as representatives from the Wrestling Federation of Kyrgyzstan. The deputy mayor emphasized the importance of international competitions and wished the participants good luck in their performances.
The "Manas" tournament was founded in 2020 and gained international status in 2022. This year, in 2025, wrestlers from Kazakhstan joined the participants, which helps strengthen sports ties and exchange experiences between countries.
The best athletes of the tournament will be awarded medals, diplomas, and commemorative prizes, while the coaches of the winners will receive monetary incentives.
