According to Sport AKIpress, citing information from the Kyrgyz Professional Football League (KPFL), the new rules will allow clubs to have a total of up to 10 legionnaires in their rosters. However, no more than 7 foreign players can be on the field at the same time during a match. Additionally, it is mandatory that at least 4 players hold Kyrgyz citizenship.
It is also worth noting that players from EAEU countries, such as Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Russia, will not be considered legionnaires.
Furthermore, each team will have the opportunity to register up to 50 players, of which at least 15 must be under 21 years old.
These changes are aimed at supporting domestic players and promoting the development of the national team.
