The VII International Film Forum of Women Directors Concluded in Osh. Winners

From December 2 to 5, the VII International Forum of Women Directors took place in the city of Osh, dedicated to the memory of the People's Artist of the Kyrgyz Republic, Gulsara Azhybekova.
The organizers noted that this event also supports a five-year program for the development of mountain regions and coincides with International Mountain Day.
Within the framework of the forum, 25 films were screened, divided into two main programs:

- "Women’s Lens," which included 16 works by directors from Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and Kyrgyzstan;

- "Environmental and Social Activism," presented for the first time this year, included 9 films.
The results of the film forum are as follows:

In the "Women’s Lens" program:

- First place was awarded to the feature film "Preserving Anonymity" by director Luiza Zaripova from Kazakhstan, which received a cash prize of 25,000 soms;

- Second place went to the documentary film Directed by Aydana, by director Aydai Duyshonkul kyzy from Kyrgyzstan (prize of 15,000 soms);

- Third place was taken by the documentary film "Unknown Soldier" by Aydai Chotueva, also from Kyrgyzstan (10,000 soms);

- A special jury diploma was awarded to the feature film "Seventh Month" by director Aizada Amangeldy from Kyrgyzstan.
Special awards from the Osh city administration:

- The documentary film "Worship to Water" directed by Zhanil Zhusupzhan from Kyrgyzstan (prize of 25,000 soms);

- The feature film "Golden Fish" by Aizhamal Mirbek kyzy, also from Kyrgyzstan (prize of 25,000 soms).
Special award from the public fund "Asian Creative Women":

- The feature film "Let’s Not Sleep?" by director Zhanell Kyzhuqpaeva from Kazakhstan (prize of 20,000 soms).
Technical awards provided by the "Multimedia Kyzdar" studio:

- Certificate for technical support for the documentary film "Rock" by director Altynai Adamalieva;

- Certificate for technical support for the documentary film "Gone Moments," directed by Saltanat Ismanova.
Certificate for training in a year-long directing course from Temir Birnazarov:

- Documentary film Directed by Aydana, directed by Aydai Duyshonkul kyzy from Kyrgyzstan.
Diploma from Osh State University:

- Feature film "The Last Touch" directed by Gulnara Ivanova from Uzbekistan.
Since 2016, the public fund "Asian Creative Women" has been holding this international forum aimed at showcasing films created by women directors. The forum seeks to unite women directors, create a space for sharing experiences and discussing relevant social issues, as well as collaboratively seeking solutions.
