Bogocine is one of the oldest film festivals in Latin America, founded in 1984. It has become known as a platform for young directors with no more than three feature films in their careers, as well as for debut works. Throughout its history, the festival has awarded renowned directors such as Pedro Almodóvar, Bong Joon-ho, Isabel Coixet, Alejandro González Iñárritu, and Rodrigo García for their early films.
The film "Kurak" is an exceptional project, as it is the only representative from Central Asia in the main competition section of feature films, among 14 films from Latin America, Eastern Europe, Germany, Spain, and South Korea. This will be the South American premiere of this work.
We remind you that the world premiere of the film "Kurak" took place in September at the 30th International Film Festival in Busan.
