Free admission to screenings
The Hungarian Film Days, organized by the Embassy of Hungary, will take place in Bishkek from November 3 to 5 and on November 10, 2025.
As part of the event, outstanding films by Hungarian masters will be presented, based on real events and destinies, revealing important moments in Hungary's history through the personal stories and memories of the heroes.
Screenings will be held at the Kyrgyz State University named after I. Arabaev and the Kyrgyz State Medical Academy named after I. Akhunbaev.
Screening Schedule
November 3–5 - Main Hall of the Kyrgyz State University named after I. Arabaev (Bishkek, Razakova St., 51A, 2nd building):
November 3, 17:00 – "Diary for My Children," 1982. Director: Márta Mészáros. The film won the Grand Prix at the Cannes Film Festival in 1984.
November 4, 17:00 – "Diary for My Loved Ones," 1987. Director: Márta Mészáros. This film won the Silver Bear at the 37th Berlin International Film Festival.
November 5, 17:00 – "Semmelweis," 2023. Director: Lajos Koltai.
November 10, 15:00 – "Semmelweis." The screening will take place in the Conference Hall of the Kyrgyz State Medical Academy named after I. Akhunbaev (Bishkek, I. Akhunbaev St., 92).
