Raid against illegal interregional taxis conducted in Bishkek

In the capital of Kyrgyzstan, Bishkek, a raid was conducted aimed at combating illegal interregional taxis. The event took place in the Lenin district and was organized to regulate the work of taxi drivers, reports the press service of the city mayor's office.

During the raid, police officers managed to explain to drivers that picking up passengers in prohibited areas is considered an offense. They were also reminded of the necessity to serve clients exclusively at designated bus stations. These measures are aimed at ensuring passenger safety and regulating traffic flow.

The raid was organized by the patrol service of the Bishkek City Police Department. As a result of the inspection, five protocols were drawn up in accordance with the norms of the Code of Offenses.

The mayor's office also announced its intention to conduct such raids on a regular basis.

Taxi drivers operating legally at the bus station will be prioritized for licensing, which was also promised by representatives of the mayor's office.
