The Pencak Silat tournament "Commonwealth Cup" took place in the capital of Uzbekistan, Tashkent. The team from Kyrgyzstan showed excellent results, winning medals in various categories.

Among the gold medalists (1st place) were:

Aruuke Bikboeva – in the weight category of 36 kg

Jandos Baymanhambekov – in the weight of 40 kg

Binazir Mustafokulova – in the category of 65 kg

The silver medals (2nd place) were awarded to:

Ayana Jusupova – 47 kg

Shamil Bazarbaev – 60 kg

The bronze medals (3rd place) were won by:

Nurislam Mustafokulov – 57 kg

Temir Bikboev – 65 kg

Jafar Ibaiyulaev – 70 kg

Syimyk Tavaldiyev – 63 kg

The goal of this tournament is to promote and develop pencak silat, a martial art originating from Indonesia and Malaysia, which includes both armed and unarmed combat techniques based on the traditions of various tribes in Indonesia.
