The meeting took place in one of the city's educational institutions, where the mayor first presented a report, after which residents had the opportunity to ask questions and receive answers.
According to Adiev, the ongoing work depends on financial resources, and the growth of the budget is a significant achievement. In particular, the local budget increased from 211.9 million soms in 2018 to 576.5 million soms in 2025, which corresponds to a growth of 2.8 times.
The city head noted that projects are financed from republican and local budgets, as well as with the support of the Asian Development Bank and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. The total cost of the completed works amounts to 3 billion 969.5 million soms.
Among the completed projects:
- modernization of wastewater treatment facilities and the city’s sewage system;
- installation of water meters and updating of the water supply system;
- development of the general plan for Karakol;
- renovation of municipal buildings and educational institutions using donor grants (6 projects);
- construction of a sports complex;
- reconstruction of the Palace of Physical Culture and Sports with the addition of two football fields;
- establishment of a school for 500 students on Udiolova Street;
- drilling of wells to ensure water supply;
- major repairs of the "Investbank" building for a kindergarten;
- updating of the city's internal roads;
- construction of the "Irada" children's home and a municipal bakery in Altyn Kazyq;
- erection of a building for the Center for the Fight Against AIDS;
- commencement of construction of a tuberculosis center in Karakol.
The mayor also spoke about plans to implement new projects in Karakol in the coming years.
