In Kok-Jangak, a transfer of specialized equipment took place for the municipal enterprise "Shar-Bulak." The event gathered local residents and deputies of the kenesh.

According to the mayor Syrgak Zamirbek uulu, a total of five units of new equipment were handed over, acquired as part of the reconstruction supported by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. He noted that the water supply networks in the city had not been updated since 1932. "The reconstruction of the water supply system began in October 2023. The total cost of the project is 4 million euros, of which 2 million euros is a grant, and the remaining funds are loans," he added.

The equipment was handed over two years after the project began, and construction work is planned to start in the spring of next year. As part of the project, more than 24 kilometers of water supply networks will be updated, and water metering devices will be installed. The project also includes the construction of an administrative building for the enterprise, modernization of one old water intake, and the construction of a new one, as well as the creation of water treatment stations. The construction of three reservoirs is included in the project.

The deputy mayor noted that the transfer of equipment is a significant achievement, as the enterprise previously did not have such equipment. "After the work is completed, the city will be provided with round-the-clock water supply," he added.

Currently, 12 people work at the municipal enterprise "Shar-Bulak," and the number of subscribers exceeds 1,800. Notably, about 500 subscribers receive water for only 2 to 4 hours a day, while approximately 600 people have to collect water on their own.

The population of Kok-Jangak is over 13,000 people.
