The President approved the agreements
According to the signed Law, Sadyr Japarov ratified Additional Agreement No. 1 to the Loan Agreement concluded on May 23, 2019, between the Kyrgyz Republic and the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development. This agreement pertains to the project "Rehabilitation of Water Supply Systems in the Local Self-Government Bodies of Myrza-Ake, Don-Bulak, and Kurshab," as well as the Grant Agreement signed on April 14, 2025, in Bishkek, regarding the provision of an investment grant from the Special Fund of EBRD shareholders.
The adoption of the Law is necessary to fulfill internal procedures related to the entry into force of the aforementioned agreements.
For the successful implementation of the project "Rehabilitation of Water Supply Systems in the Local Self-Government Bodies of Myrza-Ake, Don-Bulak, and Kurshab," the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development allocates additional funds in the amount of 2.25 million euros:
– 750 thousand euros in the form of a grant from the Special Fund of EBRD shareholders;
– 1.5 million euros in the form of a loan from EBRD.
The loan is provided for a period of 15 years with a three-year grace period and an interest rate of 1.0% + Euribor (considering the floating interest rate).
