Joldoshbek Turdubaev, representing the Lenin district, drew attention to the significant expansion of Bishkek's territory as a result of the administrative-territorial reform. According to him, this has greatly increased the workload for the city administration.
He proposed the creation of a first deputy mayor position that would address issues related to the new settlements annexed to the capital. "It is necessary to appoint a specialist who is well-versed in land legislation and the specifics of urban infrastructure," Turdubaev noted.
In 2024, as a result of the reform, the following settlements were annexed to Bishkek:
- the rural districts of Orok and Novopavlovka from the Sokuluk district;
- the rural districts of Kok-Zhar, Alamedin, Lower Ala-Archa, Lebedinovka, Maevka, and Prigorodnoye from the Alamudun district;
- the village of Orto-Sai from the Tash-Deben rural district of the Alamudun district;
- the residential area "Anar-Bak" and contours No. 544, 545, 552 from the Kara-Jygach rural district of the Alamudun district;
