In Kara-Balta, municipal workers demonstrated the volume of garbage left by street vendors selling New Year's goods.

Starting early in the morning on January 1, 2026, employees of the sanitation department "Universal" began cleaning the streets in the lower market area from the remnants of informal trading.

According to the municipal workers, after the New Year celebrations, the area was buried under packaging waste and cardboard boxes left by vendors who set up around the market.

Experts noted that overnight from December 31 to January 1, an enormous amount of waste was accumulated, significantly exceeding the usual volumes. The garbage collection vehicles had to make several trips to remove the waste.
