The instrument was installed in the Malachite Hall of the theater.
According to the ministry, the D-274 model piano was purchased specifically for this theater.
Culture Minister Mirbek Mambetaliev noted that musicians had been requesting the replacement of the old piano since the early 1990s, but this issue remained unresolved until recently. In December, the ministry acquired the new instrument and transferred it to the theater.
The statement also emphasizes that among the twenty main manufacturers of concert grand pianos in the world, 94 percent of renowned pianists prefer Steinway pianos for performances with symphony orchestras.
