In the village of Kara-Burgon, located in the Ak-Tala district of the Naryn region, the library has been named after the renowned public figure Shaarbübü Turdumambetova, reports Turmush correspondent.

The initiative to name the library after Turdumambetova came from her grandson Farhat Öskönbaev. She worked at this library as a librarian for 12 years. The deputies of the village council supported this proposal. As a result, the children and grandchildren of Shaarbübü provided the library with the necessary equipment, and the solemn ceremony took place on January 5. Local authorities, villagers, and relatives of Turdumambetova participated in the event.

Shaarbübü Turdumambetova was born in 1934 in the village of Osoaviakhim, which was previously part of the Lenin collective farm (now this village is called Cholok-Kaiyng, part of Ala-Buka). She graduated from secondary school No. 1 named after Lenin (now named after Berdaly Kalenderov) in her native village and studied at a cultural and educational institution under the Ministry of Culture of the Kyrgyz SSR in Tokmok from 1966 to 1968.

Shaarbübü began her professional career in 1965, working as a secretary in the village council of the Jengil collective farm (now the village of Kara-Burgon) until 1972. Then, from 1972 to 1984, she served as the chief librarian of the Kara-Burgon rural library and was also elected as a deputy of the village council.

Together with her husband Öskönbay Yklasov, Shaarbübü raised five children, providing them with a decent education and upbringing. She passed away in 2002 at the age of 68.
