Police officers emphasize that criminals often take advantage of the prolonged absence of apartment owners for their own benefit.
To reduce the risk of theft from residential premises, the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Kyrgyz Republic recommends that citizens adhere to a number of safety measures:
- before leaving, ensure that all doors and windows are securely closed; if necessary, install additional locking devices;
- do not leave keys in public places, such as mailboxes or under doormats;
- if possible, install alarm systems and video surveillance;
- ask neighbors or close friends to periodically check your home;
- refrain from posting on social media information about your absence and where you are vacationing.
Connecting your home to centralized security can also ensure a quick response to alarm signals and significantly increase the level of property security.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs urged citizens to be vigilant and responsible, noting that following simple rules can help protect property and enjoy the holidays without trouble.
