Due to the increase in the number of passengers ahead of the New Year holidays, the Department of Ground and Water Transport is taking additional measures to ensure the stable operation of intercity bus routes. This information was provided by the press service of the Ministry of Transport.

According to the statement, a sufficient number of bus trips has been organized, and there is ongoing control over ticket sales and the prevention of unjustified fare increases. For these purposes, regional offices have organized duty shifts at bus stations and are conducting constant monitoring of the situation.

Starting from December 22, a total of 364 trips are scheduled from the bus station in Bishkek to the Issyk-Kul, Naryn, and Talas regions. In addition, there are 101 buses on standby for additional trips. Similar measures for reserving buses will be in effect from January 8 to January 12, 2026.

To ensure uninterrupted transportation in all regions of the country, carriers and bus station administrations have been warned about the necessity of complying with requirements to prevent unjustified fare increases. Compliance with these requirements will be under constant observation.
