More than 10 public transport passengers in Bishkek are fined daily for unpaid travel. This information was announced by the city hall.
According to information provided by the city authorities, the Department of Transport and Road Infrastructure Development, together with the employees of the Municipal Enterprise "Bishkek City Transport" and the company "Tulpar," continues to conduct raids to check payments for travel on public transport.
During these checks, protocols are drawn up for passengers who have not paid for their travel and have not received a ticket, in accordance with part 8 of article 199 of the KR Code on Offenses.
According to the information, the fine for such an offense is 1000 soms and is imposed by the public transport inspection under the department.
The city hall also reminds that when paying in cash on public transport, it is essential to receive a ticket. "Important: each trip provides a ticket with a unique number that cannot be used for the next trip," the message emphasizes.
