The Muftiyat of Kyrgyzstan has urged citizens planning to perform Umrah, as well as travel agencies, to exercise caution and consider potential risks when planning their trips.
The Spiritual Administration of Muslims of Kyrgyzstan (DUMK) noted that in recent days there have been delays and temporary cancellations of flights, including international ones, due to sharp changes in weather conditions, such as fog and rain. Pilgrims are advised to monitor official meteorological data and take weather conditions into account when organizing their trips.
The Muftiyat also emphasized the necessity of signing a written contract with travel companies. This document should clearly outline the terms of service provision, especially in cases of force majeure—flight delays, accommodation issues, and other unforeseen circumstances.
Travel companies authorized to organize Umrah are strongly recommended to maintain constant contact with pilgrims, promptly informing them of any changes and providing necessary assistance.
It is worth noting that only accredited travel companies can organize Umrah in Kyrgyzstan. According to DUMK, such permits have been issued to only a limited number of agencies, and activities without the appropriate accreditation are considered a violation. Citizens are advised to clarify the availability of necessary permits with pilgrimage organizers in advance.
