According to information from the report, the distribution of results is as follows:
- 23.8% of test participants have a high level of language proficiency;
- 52.6% – at an above-average level;
- 21.9% – at an average level;
- 1.7% – at a below-average level.
Regarding enrollment on a grant basis in 2025, 46% of applicants have a high level of knowledge of the state language, 44% – above average, 9% – at an average level, and 1% – at a below-average level.
As for the contract form of education, among those enrolled last year, 30% of applicants know Kyrgyz at a high level, 52% – above average, 16% – at an average level, and 2% – at a below-average level.
It is important to note that the test in the state language is mandatory for all applicants to universities in the country and helps assess their level of knowledge of the Kyrgyz language.
The exam consists of 50 questions, and when creating the tests, the age of participants and the lexical minimum corresponding to the educational program for schools with Kyrgyz and Russian languages of instruction are taken into account.
By the decision of the Ministry of Education and Science, in 2024 and 2025, the results of the state language test will not be considered in the competitive selection for admission to universities in Kyrgyzstan.
Nevertheless, certificates for the main and subject tests (ORT certificate) cannot be issued without successfully passing the Kyrgyz language test.
