The event was held in the meeting hall of the district state administration. It was attended by the deputy akim of the district, Farida Abdildaeva, the chairman of the National Commission on the State Language and Language Policy under the President, Melis Murataliev, the head of the Department of Digitalization and Innovations of the National Commission, Aizarat Esenov, as well as representatives of educational institutions and specialized professionals from organizations and agencies.
Deputy Akim Abdildaeva presented a video presentation on the work being done in the district to promote the state language.
Chairman of the National Commission Murataliev addressed the problematic issues of the Kyrgyz language. Citing data from UNESCO, he informed that for the sustainable preservation and development of the language, it is necessary for at least 3,000 people to speak it.
He also emphasized the importance of not only oral but also written use of the language, calling for special attention to be paid to conducting official documentation in the state language.
However, certain problems remain. According to official data from UNESCO, there are 6,809 languages in the world, and Kyrgyz is one of them. About 10 percent of languages have fewer than 100,000 speakers, which means they are at risk of extinction. The Kyrgyz language does not fall into this category, as the majority of the population speaks their native language. Nevertheless, certain difficulties persist, especially in Bishkek and the Chuy Valley. In the future, legal entities that show disregard for the state language will face penalties in accordance with the legislation," said Murataliev.
In turn, the head of the Department of Digitalization and Innovations, Aizarat Esenov, delivered a report on new innovative technologies, artificial intelligence, and other modern directions.
