An international scientific and practical conference on the topic: “Cybersecurity: organizational and legal processes, international and national standards, problems, threats, challenges, and their impact on the national security of Central Asian countries” has started in Bishkek.
Among the participants of the event are leading specialists from various countries in the region. The Deputy Head of the Aktobe Law Institute of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Kazakhstan named after M. Bukenbaev, Professor and Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) Kainar Yerbolat Yerzhanuly was one of the main speakers.
He emphasized in an interview with the "Kabar" agency the importance of strategic partnership between neighboring states. According to him, the conference is particularly significant as Kyrgyzstan is a strategic ally of Kazakhstan. “We are connected not only by common traditions but also by issues of national security. Currently, cybersecurity represents one of the main threats to the stability of our countries. The importance of this meeting lies in the opportunity to exchange experiences and study best practices from colleagues in Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, and other countries in the region,” the professor emphasized.
One of the significant outcomes of the interaction has been the strengthening of ties between educational institutions of law enforcement agencies. Kainar Yerbolat Yerzhanuly also added: “Our Ministry of Internal Affairs Institute has signed three memoranda of cooperation with leading universities in Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, and Uzbekistan. This cooperation will help us achieve the goals set for our republics within the framework of the common security strategy.”
The expert expressed optimism about the future of the partnership, assuring that it will create a reliable barrier against cybercrime in Central Asia.
