How to avoid confusion when assigning a number?
According to information announced in the Jogorku Kenesh, men are not allowed to receive women's PIN codes, just as women are not allowed to receive men's. This was stated by Nursultan Kubanov, Deputy Minister of Digital Development and Innovative Technologies.
During the discussion on assigning a personal identification number (PIN), Deputy Dastanbek Jumabekov expressed concern about potential confusion and asked whether the Cabinet would be able to issue a PIN to those who decide to change their gender.
He noted: "There are already examples in the world where women become men and vice versa. How will this be reflected from a legal standpoint?"
In response, Kubanov stated that there would be no changes in this process.
Earlier, during the discussion of the bill, Ernes Dosaliev, Deputy Director of the State Institution "Kyzmat," mentioned a case in the republic where a man became a woman and requested to resolve the issue with his PIN code as soon as possible.
