In Kyrgyzstan, about 150,000 citizens have faced problems due to errors in their personal identification numbers (PIN). This was reported by Ernes Dosaliev, Deputy Director of the state institution "Kyzmat," during a meeting of the committee of the Jogorku Kenesh, which deals with science, education, innovations, information technology, culture, sports, and youth affairs.

During the meeting, the deputies reviewed a draft law concerning the personalized accounting of citizens for mandatory state social insurance. This document aims to clarify the procedure for assigning and correcting PINs through the Cabinet of Ministers.

Deputy Gulsharkan Kultaeva asked how the history of PIN changes would be accounted for, so that citizens could continue to use their number even after changes were made, and that this should be clearly outlined in the legislation.

In response, Ernes Dosaliev stated that the PIN serves as a tool for personal identification. All information about each citizen is recorded in the system and cannot be completely deleted. He noted that the errors in the PIN are not the fault of the citizens themselves, and the number change occurs at their request.

The deputy emphasized the need to integrate all data to avoid problems for citizens when their PIN is changed.
