At the meeting of the Jogorku Kenesh on January 14, deputy Suyunbek Omurzakov reported on the situation of Kyrgyz citizens legally residing in Russia. According to him, they faced problems related to the blocking of bank accounts and restrictions on movement, which forced them to leave the country.

Omurzakov noted that "the registry is not functioning correctly," and that Kyrgyz citizens experienced serious financial difficulties before the holidays. The deputy emphasized the importance of addressing this issue at an official level between government agencies, considering the strategic partnership between Kyrgyzstan and Russia, as well as the need to develop a mechanism for exiting the registry.
