Zhapikeev noted that Kadyrov has served time three times for defending democracy and freedom of speech.
“I have known Kubanychbek since 1995; he is the older brother of my classmate Mars Kydykbaev. In a recent podcast, I mentioned that their mother endured the loss of her younger son Maxat, which greatly affected her health. She suffered from diabetes and nearly went blind due to her grief. I hope no mother in this world has to endure such suffering,” he added.
Syimyk also expressed gratitude to President Sadyr Japarov for the decision to release Kadyrov, noting that it would be a noble act to also free the sons of Atambayev, Shailoobek Atazov, and Urmat Baryktabasov.
It should be added that Syimyk Zhapikeev, who recently served as the head of the GSBEP, became the center of discussions after his sharp statements about the works of Chingiz Aitmatov in Ernist Kiyazov's podcast.
We remind you that mass arrests occurred on November 22, 2025, when the Ministry of Internal Affairs reported the disruption of a destructive group planning unrest after the elections to the Jogorku Kenesh. As a result, several politicians, former deputies, and the son of former president Almazbek Atambayev were detained, totaling 10 people, including Kubanychbek Kadyrov. All of them were placed in custody by court decision.
