On January 26, at a meeting of the committee of the Jogorku Kenesh on finance, budget, entrepreneurship, and competition development, the head of the service, Jenaly Orozbaev, reported that "the Abdrahmanov University [Academy of Public Administration under the President] has been instructed to return 13 million soms to students."
In its comment, the academy clarified that the full official name of the educational institution, according to the decree of the President of the Kyrgyz Republic, is the Academy of Public Administration under the President of the Kyrgyz Republic named after Jusup Abdrakhmanov.
The university also noted that the refund pertains to graduates of the bachelor's program who studied at the academy from 2020 to 2024.
"During the specified years, no complaints or grievances regarding the quality of education were received by APAPR from students. The academy fully fulfilled its obligations in organizing the educational process, and all students who successfully completed their studies received state-recognized diplomas," the academy stated.
Furthermore, the comment indicated that since 2014, the cost of contract education for bachelor's students has remained stable at 46,000 soms per year.
"This price will not change for students enrolled in these programs, even considering the decision to close enrollment for the bachelor's program in 2025. The academy continues to adhere to the principle of social responsibility and does not plan to raise tuition fees for the remaining students in this specialty," the comment emphasizes.
