
On the first day of the group stage of the AFC Futsal Cup, which is taking place in Jakarta, the Kyrgyzstan national team faced the Iraqi athletes and finished the match unfavorably, losing 2:4.
The Kyrgyz started the game successfully, opening the scoring just 53 seconds in. After a throw-in, Kairat Kubanychov made a pass, and Doner Amanbaev scored the first goal - 1:0. However, the situation soon changed: goalkeeper Bekbolot Akmataliev was sent off for handling the ball in the center, which gave Iraq the opportunity to quickly equalize - 1:1.
Before heading into halftime, the Iraqi team managed to score another goal, ending the half with a score of 2:1 in their favor. In the second half, Kubanychov equalized with a long-range shot - 2:2. Nevertheless, the Iraqis regained the initiative, scoring their third and fourth goals, and confidently brought the match to a 4:2 victory.
The next game for the Kyrgyzstan national team will take place on January 29 against Indonesia.
