Free access to the boiler room, an open pit, and unsanitary conditions
In Bishkek, at the private school "Creative Taalim," serious violations of safety standards were discovered that could threaten the health and lives of students. These issues became known on January 28, 2026, when a working group conducted an on-site inspection following complaints from residents. This information was provided by the press service of the capital's mayor's office.
During the inspection, it was found that there was free access to the boiler room on the school premises, which is classified as a high-risk facility. An open pit was also discovered, which had neither fencing nor warning signs.
“Unsanitary conditions are observed in the surrounding area. The lack of fencing and other safety measures creates a risk of children accessing potentially dangerous areas, which could lead to injuries. Furthermore, the school uses equipment that is not equipped with cleaning systems to filter gases emitted during the combustion of solid fuel. Inspectors noted that such equipment harms the environment and does not meet current environmental requirements,” the information states.
Some violations were also recorded inside the school building. The rooms on the third floor, where classes are held, do not meet fire safety and sanitary standards. Moreover, the administration of the educational institution was unable to present a previously issued order, raising additional questions about compliance with norms and regulations.
As a result of the inspection, the school was ordered to promptly eliminate the identified deficiencies, bring the premises and educational facilities to a safe condition, and secure particularly dangerous areas. It was indicated that measures must be taken in the coming days to ensure the complete safety of children.
If the requirements are not met, measures will be taken against the school in accordance with current legislation, including appeals to specialized state authorities and consideration of compliance with licensing requirements.
