According to the Ministry of Culture, the film crew is currently conducting location shooting in Moscow, at the Moskino film park. This is the first time that Kyrgyz filmmakers are shooting a feature film at this location.
The project features well-known Russian actors, as well as one actor from Kazakhstan.
The national premiere of "Jusup" is scheduled for August 2026. The screening will coincide with significant dates: the 35th anniversary of Kyrgyzstan's independence, the 100th anniversary of the establishment of the Kyrgyz ASSR, and the 125th anniversary of the birth of Jusup Abdrakhmanov.
