Deputy Kuvanychbek Kongantiev also mentioned that according to the head of the Department of Affairs Kanibek Tumanbaev, 916 spots will be allocated for traders at the new market; however, according to the information from the Leninsky district akimat, about 8,500 people are working at the old market.
Daniyar Amangeldiev noted that he does not have data on this issue. In turn, Vice Mayor Ramiz Aliyev pointed out that some traders are working unofficially, without registration. He added that the commission from the mayor's office and the Department of Affairs has already compiled preliminary lists for the allocation of spots.
“The commission determines the total number, among which there are individuals engaged in trading without registration. Some spots are occupied by families, where ten people are working,” Aliyev explained.
Amangeldiev emphasized the need to relocate the Osh market to another location for the development of the city. The deputy supported his opinion but expressed concern for the traders who do not know where to turn with their questions. He noted that many rent trading spots at nearly real estate prices and are worried about the future allocation of spots.
“I have a suggestion: the implementation of the project is handled by the Department of Affairs, the mayor's office determines the number of spots, and the Ministry of Construction provides answers to questions. Can you indicate where people should go for inquiries? Create an interdepartmental commission to unite all agencies providing information so that people know where to go with their questions. The akimat and the mayor's office do not know the answers, and it is difficult to reach the Department of Affairs,” the deputy proposed.
Amangeldiev agreed with the deputy and confirmed that such a commission will be created.
