In Kyrgyzstan, discussions have begun on a new draft law concerning changes to the legislation regulating road safety.

According to the proposals, citizens holding driver's licenses issued outside the country will be required to register them with the relevant state authority responsible for the registration of vehicles and drivers.

Amendments to the Law "On Road Traffic in the Kyrgyz Republic" prohibit the use of vehicles on the territory of the country with foreign licenses if they have not undergone mandatory registration within the established timeframes.

The rules and deadlines for registration will be determined by the cabinet of ministers.
Additionally, a new article 184-1 will be added to the Code of Offenses, which will address violations of the registration deadlines for foreign licenses. The following fines are stipulated for this:
