This unique site, located on the Umm Arak plateau, includes hundreds of drawings, carved images, and inscriptions that span a time period from the Neolithic to the early Islamic period.
The rock shelter, extending over 100 meters along the eastern edge of the plateau, contains vibrant images rendered in red and gray tones. These drawings depict animals, hunting scenes, and symbolic figures. Some of the oldest images, created between 10,000 and 5,500 years ago, illustrate the life of early hunter-gatherers, including scenes of hunting mountain goats using bows and hunting dogs, as noted by experts.
