Citizens in need of support can contact the ministry
As of January 1, 2026, within the framework of the activities of the city, district, and inter-district departments of the Ministry of Labor, Social Protection, and Migration of the Kyrgyz Republic, 854 social workers provide home services to 9,452 individuals in need. This includes:
* 3,819 lonely elderly people;
* 2,313 people with disabilities;
* 350 married couples;
* 2,971 families in difficult life situations.
Social workers provide necessary assistance to elderly individuals living alone, citizens with limited mobility, and families in challenging circumstances. Their task is to address everyday problems and provide psychological and social support.
Each social worker visits their clients at least twice a week, according to an individually tailored schedule approved by the management of the department. This approach ensures high-quality care and timely assistance to those in need.
To receive home assistance, a written request must be submitted by local self-government bodies, relatives, or neighbors of the person in need. The Ministry of Labor, Social Protection, and Migration is actively working to improve the quality of social services and their accessibility for citizens.
